Finally 'got an equity fund in PEMI!

I have previously written a post here about all the four specific financial goals that I must achieve before year 2014 ends. On my third goal is to open an equity fund in Philequity.......and finally I did it, I received a confirmation from Philequity last week.
It was my plan to open an equity fund in PEMI first last July but thrice I called their main branch & they specifically informed that I need to apply personally in their office to open an account but the problem is I can't sacrifice my one day work since we've got a lot of workloads these days & their main branch office is a bit far from us. With the help of Ms. Millete (mileti) who commented on my blog, she referred me to Ms. Tina of Rampver Strategic Advisors. I personally went to their office in Ayala to open a Philequity Fund before heading back to work. Though I was not able to meet her personally I was assisted by her colleague and after just one day I already received a confirmation letter from Philequity.
Financially speaking, last july I withdraw P 4,400.00 on my capital con. account and it was really intended to my initial equity fund just an additional P 600.00 is needed to have a total P5,000.00.But then something came up and P2,400.00 was used up while I lend the remaining P 2,000.00 to my officemate so it can earn an interest. It was only this September I was able to received full monthly rent from my brother though some of it were used in repairs of the house again. By October I received another house rent payment & finally set aside the P 5,000.00 for Philequity.
My financial life is a bit complicated these days as I was trying to rollover some amounts through lending, I was also trying to help my brother with his small business and some amount were used to payout some of my credit card loans. Although "masakit sa ulong magpa-ikot ng pera", I need to do this to have an additional means of income that I will use to invest esp in my mutual fund.
This November, I feel happy & fulfilled again that I was able to accomplish another goal for this year. Thanks again Ms. Millette :) for helping me achieve my third goal.

Have a great day everyone :)

  2. Strange, I opened my PEMI while I'm out of the country. Maybe their rules about application has changed.

    Anyway, congrats.

    1. yun na nga ang problema, applicable lang daw yung mag-send ng documents thru ebiz para makapag-open if you work abroad or u live in the province, but if you live in metro manila you have to apply there personally thats what they told me thru phone inquiry :(
      thanks din:)

  3. Yes if you're in a province, they allow sending the docs via courier and schedules a Skype interview. My acct with PEMI is a joint acct with my husband , so we were both interviewed.

Congrats sis! May God bless you with stable and continuous source of income to add more to your investments.

      thanks sis!

  4. Nice! I'm also thinking of transferring my equity funds to PEMI since it has a lower annual management fee and it has been outperforming my FAMI-SALEF this year. Although that personal application bit makes me rethink my decision because, like you, it's not convenient for me.

I've been looking at IMG too because they offer 1M term insurance from Philam for only 3k++, that's half of what the other insurance companies offer! I'm not sold on their other tie-ups, but that Philam term insurance is a good deal.

    1. Yes mam jill, maganda nga ang performance ng Philequity, I've been stalking their websites for months comparing their NAVPS -mas maganda ang performance nila although mas madali mag-open sa FAMI.

Got 2 options in opening --either be a member of IMG automatically pede ka mag open sa kanila sa Philequity or went to their branch personally.

But ms milette commented on my blog & suggested Rampver Strat--they are solicitors of Philequity although its not only Philequity but FAMI, Philam, ATR Keming & Soldivo accts are posted in their office.

I haven't talked to ms. tina personally coz I too have some inquiries but what's important to me is that I have first open an account to them.

My Philam life insurance na rin ako pero 200k lang coverage - 700/monthly, siguro mas mura nga sa kanila.

    2. Parang mahal yung Philam life insurance mo if 200k lang ang coverage. At 700p/month that's Php8,400 a year, which is what I also paid for my Sun Life term insurance with 1M coverage and 1M critical illness benefit.

    3. ganun po ba, company kasi namin ang kumuha nun 6 yrs ago---8 yrs to pay po sya, half of the premium is automatically deducted to us unfortunately di na raw nila kayang bayaran yung half premium so nasa sa amin kung gusto namin ituloy o hindi. Itutuloy ko na lang din po kasi two yrs na lang.

Nabanggit ko rin sa kasamahan ko ung sinabi nyo 1M coverage kasi kumuha na rin sya ng VUL sa Sunlife e.

  7. Hi Grace!

Great you've already started with PhilEquity. Good luck on your investment journey. Glad I was able to help. =)

Here's a tip: Since PhilEquity is not that friendly when it comes to paper works, I usually write post-dated checks and give it to Rampver (thru Ms Tina). I just make sure that I put the money on my checking account and I track everything with my very reliable excel sheet.

    Good luck again. =)

    1. thanks a lot ms millete :)
ms. tina, already gave me some instructions on making additional investment.
she also informed me that I will be receiving softcopies of confirmation & monthly statement of account, which I already did last week - confirmation receipt from my initial investment, I'll probably have it printed & put it in a folder for my files.
although I havent met her personally, she's been giving me additional informations thru emails.

    1. Sorry for the late reply, just want to remind you first that you must have an emergency fund first before investing & there's always risk involves in investing.
If you work or live near ortigas, it is best if you go directly to their office.
If you live or work abroad or in the province you can send requirements thru ebiz & u will be interviewed thru skype (check their websites).
But since I cannot do both the above instruction I went directly to Rampver Strategic office (they are solicitors of different mutual funds) check my post " Figuring out what to do next" I was referred by ms millette to ms tina rosales. You may contact her thru this email ---Tina's email is tina.rosales@rampver.com, If you want an appointment :) Good day :)

  9. Hi Grace, may i ask of ung Rampver, since they are solicitors of different mutual funds, do they charge extra?

    ReplyDelete

You may contact ms. Tina Rosales of Rampver if you additional info --heres the cp # 0977-174-65-77...or email her-@ tina.rosales@rampver.com.
& may free seminar din po sila if you want.
